about the ARTIST

Liew Chee Heai (Creative Director, Installation Artist & Performer)
Liew Chee Heai is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes photography, performance art, installation art, painting, and short video. He has held solo photography exhibitions in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur. In 2019, he made his directorial debut and performed in ‘Seni Tiga #03: Void in Void’. Doing hands-on work every day makes his cells happy.

Loke Xiaoyun (Guest Performer)
Xiaoyun sings and plays the piano, the flute, and the Sape. Trained as a classical musician, Xiaoyun is also a vocal improviser for avant-garde music. She had worked with artists from different disciplines, including dance and visual works. One of her collaborative works was a multi-disciplinary project with Seni Tiga #8: Foundry.

Sandee Chew (Performer)
Sandee Chew is a multidisciplinary actor, who does lighting design and dramaturgy. She often works in collaborative ensembles in a mix of scripted and devised works, and avidly supports new work developments. She recently performed in Old Lear, which received a Special Mention in Milan, and Karaoke Medea at KongsiKL. She was also part of Seni Tiga #08: Foundry.

Tan Bee Hung (Guest Performer)
Graduated with Master of Dance at Universiti Malaya. Active in the local and international dance scenes. Was selected to participate in the 2013 International Young Choreographer Program, Taiwan and SEA Choreolab 2015 in Rimbun Dahan. A firm believer that human are natural movers. Currently a dancer, choreographer, Pilates and dance instructor.

Tung Jit Yang (Performer)
Tung Jit Yang is a theatre performer and director. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of Arts, USA and is currently the Director-in-Residence at The Actors Studio Malaysia @ The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. He works primarily in creating new devised works in his home country of Malaysia.
