A River of Words & Pictures: A Mini Zine Workshop

about the event
Aimed at zine lovers old and new, this workshop will involve creating a mini zine out of a single sheet of paper (A4 or A3) using rivers (literal and metaphorical) as inspiration, subject matter and prompt.
Participants will explore creative ideas – inspiration and aspirations, creative impulses, dreams and everything in between – while wondering and wandering (both physically and through our imagination) through rivers of words and images to produce their very own unique zines – for some, hopefully the first of many.
Workshop details
This is a free workshop, but participants are encouraged to bring the following
• blank A4 and/or A3 paper (three or four sheets);
• scissors;
• blade;
• glue;
• coloured pens and pencils, crayons etc;
• old magazines and newspapers;
• scrapbooking materials.
The facilitator will also provide some of the above materials.
