about the event

"A River for My Family" is a touching story of Popi, a young dragonfly, advised by his father to leave his home and find a cleaner river to live in. Despite his sadness, Popi's grandmother's ancient tales of their beloved River inspire him. This tale received the 2018 GEC National Rivercare Grant, promoting children's awareness of river conservation."

about the artist

Anak Rimba Books was created by Abyan and Farah, who shared a common interest in promoting creative content that focuses on endangered animals in Asia. Through their books, they aim to give endangered Asian animals a centre stage and cultivate nature-loving children who will be more aware of the environment and universal values such as kindness and respect for our animal friends. They hope that the next generation of Malaysians will grow up loving nature and help to reduce further impact on our planet. They have authored five books "Why Don't I Look Like You?", "Let's Try Something New", "A River For My Family", "No Roar Day" and "My Midnight Flora" with more stories coming soon!
